In our clinic, professional oral hygiene is divided in two fundamental steps :
PRIMARY PREVENTIVE CARE: Teaching oral hygiene.
The patients learn from the explanations and the demonstrations of the oral hygienist the fundamental home dental hygiene (brushing and use of the dental floss). The daily use of the techniques that have been taught is a very important condition in order to guarantee the efficacy of the prevention.
SECONDARY PREVENTIVE CARE: Professional oral hygiene.
The professional oral hygiene is performed in our clinic (appointments) with the hygienist according to the specific necessity of each patient. The hygiene sessions focus on the dental and oral health of our patients and on the integration of home hygiene.
FLUORIDE TREATMENTS The fluoride preventive treatments are the prevention of tooth decay by using fluoride, a mineral that helps the building of an enamel more resistant to the acid attack of the bacterial plaque and that protects it if taken once the tooth has formed.
